Jesus spoke of the church (ekklēsia) as a community of people who respond to God’s call and follow him. In a world filled with division, isolation and loneliness people need the church. God never intended for humans to be alone. The Why Church? campaign is designed to highlight the importance of Church and the community, care, and service that happen in churches. The message is that the church offers what people need in their lives, and the call to action is for those who are unchurched to give it a try.
