Prior to selling her suburban home and moving into downtown Kansas City to help launch Church of the Resurrection’s downtown campus and become its first employee, Kelly Sisney performed 30-40 Clean Comedy Shows per year as a solo act. Resurrection Downtown started with nine people in 2009 and now averages over 1,000 worshippers each weekend over 5 worship services. It is also in the process of building the first new church building in downtown Kansas City in over 80 years.

Kelly and her husband of 31 years, David, have been members of Church of the Resurrection for 25 years. They have two children (Blake and Michelle), one grandson (Jackson), and two cats (KC and Royal).
