Words have power.  With our words we insult, or encourage, we curse or we bless.  With them we build trust or tear it down. Our words have the power to strengthen relationships or to destroy them.  In our political life, words have the potential to further divide us, or to bring us together.  And while we were taught as children that sticks and stones may break our bones, but words will never harm us, we each have been hurt by the words of others.
