Yvonne Gentile

Guest Experience & Event Management Lead Director

Before joining our staff in 2011, Yvonne worked in an executive leadership capacity in retail, where she discovered the power of radical hospitality. She is co-author of four books, all published by Abingdon Press:

  • Serving from the Heart: Finding Your Gifts and Talents for Service
  • Leadership from the Heart: Learning to Lead with Love & Skill
  • Leadership Essentials: Practical Tools for Leading in the Church
  • The Art of Hospitality: A Practical Guide for a Ministry of Radical Welcome
  • The Greeter and Usher Handbook

Yvonne and her husband Frank have been part of Resurrection since 1996. Together they enjoy movies, road trips, and spending time with family.

Debi Nixon

Executive Director of Donor Development

Debi serves on the Executive Team as the Director of the Resurrection Foundation and Donor Relations. She is passionate about helping others experience the radical love of Jesus through hospitality and about helping others steward their resources and gifts for greatest kingdom impact. She is the author of CATCH: A Churchwide Program for Invitational Evangelism and co-author of The Art of Hospitality: A Practical Guide for a Ministry of Radical Welcome.

Debi and her husband Reed enjoy being at the lake, taking walks, and enjoying time with their two grown children. But if you want to know her true joy…ask about her grandchildren!

Amy Oden

Professor of Early Church History and Spirituality

Dr. Oden is currently teaching for several seminaries. She has served on the faculties of Oklahoma City University, Saint Paul School of Theology and Wesley Theological Seminary where she also served as Dean. Born and raised on the prairies of Oklahoma, Amy has found her spiritual home under the wide-open sky. Her passion is to illuminate ancient Christian voices for wisdom today.

Amy will help us explore the source of hospitality. We tend to think we have to create hospitality. But what if we looked to God’s own welcome as our source?

Jason Moore

Co-Founder, Midnight Oil Productions

Creativity, storytelling and visual communication are evidenced passions of Jason Moore throughout his more than two decades of designing dynamic resources, training, coaching, and consulting for churches of all sizes, styles, and means.

A childhood dream of becoming a Hollywood filmmaker shifted as Jason experienced a call to bring his gifted artistry to the church, joining the Ginghamsburg United Methodist Church staff in the 1990s.

In 2020, as the global pandemic took root, Jason instinctively shifted his work, crafting a series of groundbreaking webinars on hybrid worship design. These trainings, which combine his specialties of church communications, guest readiness and creative worship, provide practical, results-oriented application, and are being utilized across the country in The United Methodist Church, seminaries, and ecumenical groups.

A graduate of The Modern College of Design, Jason is author of 12 books, a frequent keynote speaker, and a sought-after trainer.

His latest book BOTH/AND: Maximizing Hybrid Worship Experiences for In-Person and Online Engagement, a book on how to craft truly hybrid worship experiences is an Amazon Best Seller.

What People Are Saying

Thank you, thank you, thank you!  We are shifting so much to meet the needs of our community during this time that we have really been stretching our staff resources.  I am so grateful for your willingness to share – not just the content, but also the time it took just to reply (and so quickly!)!  Really, thanks!

Darren R.

Sharechurch is such valuable resource to us all.  I find that I access it first on many topics just to begin my research, or to confirm if we are on the right track on a number of topics.  Thank you and COR for providing this to us all.
