  • ONE - Unity in a Divided World - Group Study
ONE - Unity in a Divided World - Group Study

These videos (aprrox. 10 min. each) and study guides are based on the book ONE - Unity in a Divided World by Deidra Riggs. These resources were created by Southwood Lutheran Church for a sermon series and churchwide Small Group study. It was so well received, we want to share the resources with others! Deidra helps us think differently about unity, first examining our own hearts and how we are ONE with God, then examining how we interact with others as ONE Body in Christ. She tackles topics such as racial division in the Church, political convictions that ruin relationships and life experiences that shape us. How do we celebrate our differences rather than allowing them to divide us? This study is an eye-opening first step. Appropriate for youth as well as adults, feel free to add your own logo to front and back cover of the study guide.

  • The Art of Awkward Conversation
    The Art of Awkward Conversation

Awkward conversations. We’ve all had them, and most of us cringe just thinking about them. Whether it's politics or family or social media, conversations can go south quickly. Thankfully, the Bible has something to say about this. Jesus found himself in quite a few awkward conversations, so we can learn how to navigate them with grace and humility by studying Jesus' tactics.

In our current sociopolitical climate, it's obvious that we need to learn to talk to each other again. This six-session small group curriculum is designed to help you talk about awkward conversations - how to have them, how to move past them, and what God can teach us about grace in the midst of them. So, come on, let's talk.

  • The Climb Discipleship Pathway
    The Climb Discipleship Pathway

Not everyone’s route toward growth will look the same. Your path will look different from others because your life experiences have brought you to your unique position. That doesn’t mean we can’t climb together, and it doesn’t mean we won’t have check points and opportunities for growth along the way. That’s what the Discipleship Pathway provides - basic check points that aid you in charting your own growth. Our prayer is that you utilize the Discipleship Pathway as a tool in your faith climb, and that you will encounter God in new and exciting ways as you reach new heights of love for God and others.

This is the Discipleship Pathway for Tonganoxie United Methodist Church in Tonganoxie, KS.
